The Anti-Trafficking and Modern Slavery safe house is an accommodation service accommodating victims of Modern Slavery who are being supported through the National Referral Mechanism. Our aim is to support these individuals during their recovery and reflection period in order to assist them transitioning from victim to survivor. The support provided to our residents is tailored according to their needs and as such is very person centred concentrating primarily of the individual's wellbeing. The Project supports primarily male adult victims of Modern Slavery and supports individuals of all nationalities, faiths and sexual orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Concierge will provide assistance with the Housing Management functions in our safe house and will be required to assess any out of hours referrals received and welcome new residents who often arrive in the early hours of the morning having been rescued from there situations only hours previously. The Role will also include ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of the residents over the course of the evening and at night where required.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
1. Empathy, patience and kindness towards residents and new arrivals.
2. Good customer services skills.
3. The ability to prioritise their own work load.
4. Proficiency in a range of IT packages including Microsoft.
5. A knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by vulnerable clients.
6. The ability to work within the Christian ethos of the Salvation Army.
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
