Job Title: Project Coordinator - Community Resilience

Salary £24,240 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract (December 2025)

As a Community Resilience Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in extending the Building Resilience Together Programme across London. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging with community sector organisations, local authorities, and emergency responders to enhance community preparedness. You will organise and conduct workshops, training sessions, and exercises tailored to the needs of local communities. Additionally, you will recruit and support volunteers and advocates, develop training tools, and coordinate the mapping of community assets and needs. Your efforts will contribute to building a robust network of resilient communities capable of withstanding and recovering from emergencies.
What does a day in the life of a Project Coordinator involve? You'll be:
* Engaging with local authorities and voluntary sector partners to build trust and coordination.
* Organising and conducting workshops, training sessions, and exercises for community groups.
* Recruiting and supporting local advocates and organisations involved in the resilience programme.
* Developing and maintaining training tools for community engagement.
* Coordinating the mapping of community assets and needs through participatory sessions.
* Supporting the evaluation and continuous improvement of community resilience initiatives.
What do you need to be a successful Project Coordinator?
* Strong knowledge and experience in community engagement and organising.
* Proven ability to motivate and empower diverse groups.
* Excellent communication skills with people from various backgrounds.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Willingness to travel across London and occasionally work outside normal office hours.
