Join us at Debit Card Fraud Strategy at Barclays, where you will be responsible for recommending and building controls to ensure the fraud strategy functions as designed within our card products. You will analyze fraud data, perform root cause analyses on fraud cases to support your control recommendations, and communicate updates to stakeholders through regular risk and control forums.
To be successful in Debit Card Fraud Strategy, you should have experience with:
* Analytical proficiency with experience in analytical roles or a related qualification
* Ability to absorb large amounts of data and information, identifying and assessing key details whether in detailed cases or strategic changes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate issues and recommendations to diverse audiences
Additional highly valued skills include:
* Data-driven analytical skills, with SAS experience to utilize Barclays Data Warehouse for fraud trend analysis
* Experience in developing and executing fraud strategies, understanding current trends impacting card fraud
* Ability to challenge assumptions and biases to support technological advancements in fraud prevention and detection
* Understanding of policy impacts on a large customer base to assess complexity for the company, colleagues, and customers
* Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills to communicate fraud loss drivers and the benefits of strategic or local changes

This role will be based in Northampton or Canary Wharf.
Purpose of the role
To support the Risk Function in safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.
