We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Electronics/Acoustics Technician with experience in electronics and acoustics to provide essential support for ongoing research aimed at developing transformative treatments for deafness and hearing problems. A mix of skills will be an advantage. This post is funded for a period of 12 months in the first instance.
The post holder will provide electronics support to the academic staff, including repairing within reason electronic equipment for biological research and teaching and may be required to advise on equipment for safe use on a variety of different animal models as well as on human subjects.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

About you
To apply you must hold an undergraduate qualification in a subject relevant to acoustics engineering or electronics engineering.
You must have skills in the construction and testing of electronic circuits, along with demonstrable experience of troubleshooting technical problems and installing and updating technical software.
You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent attention to detail and verbal communication skills.
