Role Overview Due to continued growth and sustaining new and exciting projects, the position of HSEQ Advisor has become available in Lagan MEICA Ltd, to work alongside our HSEQ Manager. What you'll do SupportallprojectsanddepartmentstomeettherequirementsoftheHealth,Safety, Environmentand QualityManagement systems. SupportingtheorganisationontheCDMrequirementsonlargescaleprojects,ensuringrequirements are met and sufficient governance completed. Provideinputintothedevelopment,delivery,andmaintenanceofeffectiveandproactivestrategiesfor managing HSEQ risks, and for improving performance. ProvideadviceonHSEQmattersforprojectteamsandstakeholders. Ensure compliance with HSEQ legislation, standards and company procedures. Assist in developing and implementing site specific HSEQ plans and risk assessments. Tosupportthedevelopmentanddeliveryofinternal/externaltrainingtooperationalteams(andother parties, where required). SupporttheSenioroperationalmanagersandprojectteamsonabroadrangeofHSEQissues,helping them to embed policy and process where appropriate. Conductandreviewinvestigationsandreports,providingtechnicaladvicetooperationalteamsinthe investigation and resolution of accidents and incidents. Carryoutandoverseeinternalandsite-basedauditsandensuresafetyalertsaredelivered. Produce and communicate safety alerts / toolbox talks to promote learning and prevention. Reporting on KPIs and HSEQ statistics, identifying trends and advising on action required. Support operational teams in measuring the effectiveness of HSEQ policy implementation through inspection/audit, the review of appropriate performance measures, and by contributing to the monthly HSEQ (and operational) reporting cycle. Provide intelligence to the business on existing / emerging HSEQ legal requirements and sector/client- specific standards. Support environmental responsibilities to drive compliance and continuous improvement. Monitor our contractors and identify key improvement areas. What you'll bring: Ideallyyouwillcomefroman HSEQbackgroundandworkwellunderminimalsupervisionwithinateam. Essential Criteria: Qualification in a relevant subject related to construction health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) or equivalent qualifications/experience. Experience in working within confined space entry and controls. Experience revolving around working at height controls and management. Proven experience in implementation of HSEQ Management Systems Sound working knowledge of HSEQ law, and relevant sector specific HSEQ standards in relation to construction/building, or M&E. Excellent communication skills at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Full valid driving license. Our Values Our values are important to how we run our business.
