Encore Media Group is seeking a proactive and ambitious credit control and accounts assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of group companies within a fast-paced industry. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and credit control
* Prepare and execute supplier payment runs, including setting up new supplier accounts and verifying credit terms
* Respond to invoice-related queries promptly and professionally
* Review existing financial systems and processes; support the implementation of new payment platforms and system improvements
* Accurately recognize and record sales invoices in the accounting system
* Provide support on payroll and vat as needed (payroll experience a strong plus)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero and Clearbooks
* Familiarity with Sage, Stripe, and Wise payment platforms
* Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to financial management
