To provide a centralised and dedicated administrative support to the Partners, Fee Earners and PAs. THE TEAM We have Legal Support teams based at each of our UK offices with the aim to provide in-office support to our Fee-earning Groups, their PA's and other Senior Managers across the firm. We have a dedicated Legal Support training programme with the opportunity to progress within the role and achieve promotions. Other career progression opportunities are also possible across the firm, following an acceptable period of time working successfully within the team. WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE You will be fully office-based, working alongside our Secretarial and Office Services teams, providing an exceptional customer-focused service. The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties the Legal Support Assistant undertakes: • Comprehensive electronic and hard copy document management support including photocopying, scanning, pagination, printing and binding • Certifying, redacting and converting hard and electronic copy documents • Manage workflow via internal workflow management system to meet strict SLAs and deadlines • Ongoing management of files and filing areas including creation, archiving and retrieval • Mail and courier co-ordination and booking • Inter-office train travel bookings and timetable research • Provision of general administrative support, working with Office Services as required to ensure client deadlines are met • Closure of files using the matter management tool • Creating paperless pro-formas • Assist training members of the team • Assist Legal PAs and fee earners with ad-hoc tasks • Adheres to the firm's risk and compliance policies and procedures and raises any issues or queries promptly with the immediate line manager Proactivity and attention to detail are essential skills for this role as you will be dealing with a high volume of varying tasks. YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE To succeed in this role you will have: • One year's experience (or equivalent) gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level is desired • Exceptional communication skills • Proven experience of exemplary customer service • Detail focussed and experience of working in a fast-paced office environment • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team, as well as being able to work independently • Experience of prioritising a substantial and diverse workload within strict deadlines desirable • Experience of working with document management / case management systems beneficial • Demonstrable commitment to exceeding expectations and goals • Willingness to work flexibly to meet client needs. • Competent use of all Microsoft Office packages
