Teacher of Mathematics – Weston-super-Mare
A secondary school in Weston-super-Mare is looking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, with a start date in April.
This role would suit a motivated and committed teacher who is passionate about helping students develop confidence in mathematics while delivering engaging lessons across the secondary age range.
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 (M1–UPS3)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 advantageous)
* Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement
* Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches where required
* Support students with different learning needs to ensure all learners can succeed
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the maths department and wider school community
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching secondary mathematics
* Be confident in managing classrooms and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
* Demonstrate the ability to support a broad range of learners, including those requiring additional support and high-attaining students
* Be a proactive team member who contributes positively to the school environment
