Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students, particularly those with special needs. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and working closely with children, including those with autism and other disabilities.
Duties
* Assist teachers in delivering educational programmes and activities tailored to the needs of students.
* Support children with autism and other disabilities in their daily learning and social interactions.
* Provide one-on-one assistance to students, ensuring they understand the material and can participate fully in classroom activities.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles.
* Engage in toddler care when necessary, ensuring their safety and well-being during school hours.
* Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
Skills
* Experience working with people with autism or other disabilities is essential.
* Previous teaching or educational support experience is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
* Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of taking initiative when required.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
