Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to manage invoicing, payment tracking and account reconciliations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payment collections and supporting the finance team and Operations team in day-to-day accounting operations.
What will I do?
1. Chase and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments;
2. Liaise with clients’ accounts teams to resolve queries and confirm payment allocations;
3. Prepare and maintain regular debt reports for monitoring and management review;
4. Prepare invoice files and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and complete;
5. Check and verify invoice files for accuracy prior to processing;
6. Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records;
7. Update bank statements and maintain clear, up-to-date transaction records;
8. Make adjustments to invoices, including purchase orders, credit notes, or corrections as required.
What do I have?
9. Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
10. Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting;
11. Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software;
14. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines;
15. Have the right to live and work in the UK.
