Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Recruitment Team

We are seeking a motivated and well‑organised Recruitment Advisor (Band 3) to join our Recruitment Service, supporting high-volume recruitment campaigns within the Staff Bank function across the health board. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, process-driven environment and is passionate about delivering a high‑quality service to both internal stakeholders and job applicants.

You will deliver comprehensive day-to-day recruitment and selection administration, with a particular focus on large-scale campaigns, including Newly Qualified Nurses, and various high-volume roles across the board. Working closely with hiring managers and campaign leads, you will provide guidance and support throughout the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring all activity complies with national and local standards, employment legislation and governance.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage a high-volume caseload of recruitment activity using the NHS Scotland national Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Jobtrain
* Support recruitment campaigns for Staff Bank roles
* Assist with facilitating in-person interviews and assessment centres
* Undertake and process pre-employment checks, including:
o References
o PVG/Disclosure Scotland
o Occupational Health clearance
o Professional registration verification
* Process candidate onboarding efficiently, ensuring all checks are completed in line with timelines
* Enter and maintain accurate payroll-related information for successful candidates within HR systems
* Issue terms and conditions to successful candidates
* Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry across recruitment and HR systems (e.g. Jobtrain, eESS)
* Respond to high volumes of recruitment-related queries from applicants
* Ensure all recruitment documentation is handled and stored in accordance with GDPR and Board policies


About You

* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy, high-volume environment
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Effective communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
* Experience handling confidential information in line with data protection regulations
* Previous recruitment or HR administrative experience, ideally within high-volume or campaign-based recruitment (highly desirable)


Additional Information

* Hybrid working option after initial training period of up to 12 weeks (3 days in the office)
* Occasional travel to other sites may be required
* Full training on NHS Scotland recruitment systems and processes will be provided
