The Vessels & Ports Market Intelligence Lead is responsible for driving TGS | 4C’s market intelligence coverage of vessels and ports, with a focus on the offshore wind sector. This role leads the development of innovative offerings, produces high-quality reports and webinars, and serves as the primary public representative for vessels and ports intelligence. The successful candidate will maintain strong industry networks, analyze global vessel activity, collaborate across teams, and proactively engage with customers and stakeholders. Advanced research skills, sector awareness, and strong communication abilities are essential. Purpose & Scope of Role
* Lead TGS | 4C’s coverage of vessels and ports market intelligence, acting as the primary point of contact for this domain.
* Drive innovation in vessels and ports offerings, collaborating closely with both Market Research and Innovation teams.
* Represent TGS | 4C externally, presenting at industry events and in the media.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain extensive, up-to-date industry knowledge and networks relevant to vessels and ports.
* Track and analyze global vessel activity in the offshore wind sector, working closely with the Vessels Assistant and country Analysts.
* Lead the production and timely delivery of multi-author reports and webinars.
* Take a proactive role in roadmap planning and execution, including the development of charts, tools, and automation.
* Engage proactively with customers and industry stakeholders to understand needs and share insights.
* Present externally at events and in media as the public face of TGS | 4C’s vessels and ports intelligence.
* Drive quality control, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, energy journalism, policy analysis).
* Advanced research skills and an analytical mindset.
* Awareness of offshore wind and vessel operations.
* Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in quantitative or qualitative analysis.
* Excellent collaboration and time management skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.
* Advanced industry and sector knowledge.
* Familiarity with data languages such as SQL.
* Additional skills in areas such as economics, coding, or foreign languages.
