Communications Specialist - Global Banking Organisation

We’re looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month contract.
This role sits within the Corporate Communications function and plays a key part in delivering clear, engaging internal communications that drive alignment, enhance employee understanding of strategy, and strengthen leadership visibility across the EMEA region.
You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure key messages are delivered with clarity, consistency and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute internal communications plans aligned to business strategy
* Translate complex business updates into clear, engaging content for employee audiences
* Support senior leaders with messaging, presentations, talking points and announcements
* Deliver multi-channel communications across intranet, email, newsletters, town halls and digital platforms
* Drive employee engagement through campaigns, storytelling and key business updates
* Maintain and enhance internal communication channels, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and strong user experience
* Partner with stakeholders across functions (Technology, Operations, HR, Change, Front Office) to advise on communications strategy
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
* Use data and feedback to measure effectiveness and continuously improve communications
* Ensure alignment with broader corporate communications and brand strategy
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in internal or corporate communications within a large, complex organisation (financial services preferred)
* Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills with strong attention todetail
* Experience supporting senior stakeholders and leadership communications
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
* Experience delivering communications that drive engagement and behavioural change
* Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution
* Highly organised with strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and digital communication tools
* Experience using analytics to measure and improve communication effectiveness
