Role and Responsibilities
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias), you'll play a crucial role in keeping production equipment running efficiently. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll handle both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility.
* Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and site systems
* Completing planned maintenance schedules using CMMS
* Responding to breakdowns and fault-finding during shifts
* Installing and commissioning new equipment
* Supporting automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring all work complies with H&S, audit, and quality standards
* Documenting all maintenance work and updating logs
* Assisting with mechanical work as required across departments
Required Skills and Experience
* Electrical bias with a strong multi-skilled background
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
* C&G Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment
* Confident in fault finding on PLCs, motors, drives, pumps
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, ovens, or blow moulders is a plus
* Solid understanding of health and safety standards
* Apprentice trained preferred, but not essential
* Strong team player with a proactive, solutions-first approach
