Futures are recruiting for an experienced Transformers Field Service Technician on behalf of a well-established engineering organisation operating within the power distribution sector. This is a hands-on, field-based role supporting both planned maintenance programmes and reactive breakdown work across customer sites. This position will suit a technically strong, self-sufficient engineer who is comfortable working away from home when required and thrives in a practical, site-based environment. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of power transformers and associated high-voltage equipment across industrial and utility sites. The role involves working to a structured maintenance schedule as well as responding to unplanned outages and emergency call-outs. Travel is essential, and overnight stays will form part of the working pattern.
