Key responsibilities and expectations as an apprentice:
Assisting in delivering a high level of quality childcare maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff
Building effective relationships with children, parents and team members
Ensuring each child's individual needs are met
Contributing to the safeguarding of all children
Involvement in planning stimulating activities for the children in line with the EYFS 2025
Actively work towards the apprenticeship standards provided by Quest Vocational Training with an expectation of completion within the agreed timeframe
Be enthusiastic and proactive in developing own skills within the workplace
Demonstrate commitment to continued professional development
As an Apprentice, you will be working alongside qualified staff who will support and mentor you whilst completing your apprenticeship.
No previous qualifications or experience necessary, just a desire for providing quality care to young children and supporting them to develop and grow.
Apprenticeship will require English & Maths for completion. If GCSE C, Grade 4 or above isn't held, you will be supported to achieve your English and Maths alongside your apprenticeship.
The Pre-school runs during term time only between 8.15am-3.45pm
Apprentice wage for 12 months only. Following one year, NMW will be adhered to.
