Position Overview:
We're on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate English Teaching Assistant to join our team this September. This role offers an exhilarating opportunity for a recent English graduate to immerse themselves in an educational environment, fostering students' language and literacy skills while gaining invaluable experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with English teachers to design and deliver captivating lessons that instill a love for literature and language in students.
2. Offer personalized support to students who need extra assistance with reading, writing, and comprehension, nurturing their growth and confidence.
3. Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and empowered to express themselves.
4. Contribute to the development of instructional materials and resources that enrich the teaching and learning experience in English language and literature.
5. Assist in assessing assignments, providing constructive feedback to students, and monitoring their progress over time.
Requirements:
6. Hold a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
7. Possess or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certification, prioritizing the safety and well-being of students.
8. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, showcasing a mastery of the English language.
9. Radiate a genuine passion for literature, language, and education, driven by a desire to inspire and empower students.
10. Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students in a positive and supportive manner.
11. Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
