Are you an experienced Health & Social care professional looking for an exciting new part-time role? We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an organised and dedicated individual to join our fantastic #TeamPerth as a Lead Practitioner on a part‑time (25 hours per week), permanent basis.
The Role
This off‑rota role requires strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will lead and inspire teams of Support Practitioners, providing support, guidance and mentorship to ensure they deliver first‑class, high‑quality care and support. Along with the Service Lead, you will also contribute to ensuring services run within agreed budgets and meet contractual requirements.
Teams
You will oversee the Community Support team based in Perth and a single‑tenant housing support team in Kinross. Your teams are well‑established, dedicated, and work together to deliver the best possible support to individuals.
About You (Qualifications & Experience)
* Experience of managing people
* Experience of rota management
* Knowledge of running an effective service within the Health & Social Care sector
* A passion for and experience in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care and support
* Sound knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards
* Proven record of building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with supported individuals, their families and other stakeholders
* Ability to lead others and work collaboratively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Understanding of professional boundaries, accountabilities and responsibilities for supporting vulnerable individuals
* Commitment to undertake/achieve an SVQ Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 7 qualification and a PDA in Health & Social Care Supervision (if not yet attained)
* Driver licence is a plus but not essential
Shift Patterns
Working hours typically fall within office hours Monday‑Friday. You may need to be flexible for evenings, week‑end or overnight shifts. On‑call duties will also be part of the role on a rotational basis.
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate must join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards a relevant SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare and a PDA in Management with support from our Training Academy. You will need to register with the SSSC within three months of starting employment.
