Engagement & Development Officer
Rate: £250 p/d (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Working pattern: Hybrid – West Midlands
Travel: Must have access to own vehicle and be able to travel locally as required
About the role
This is a new role focused on driving community engagement through a network of public-facing services. You’ll build and nurture partnerships, embed services into community spaces, and turn strategic priorities into practical, community-led activity that promotes wellbeing, inclusion and independence.
Key responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of partner organisations and community groups
2. Design, deliver and evaluate engagement activity and local projects that increase service reach and impact
3. Translate strategy into practical delivery plans and measurable outcomes
4. Represent the service at events and meetings, promoting collaboration and innovation
Essential criteria
5. Proven experience working in large or complex organisations and delivering through change
6. Track record of developing, managing and evaluating community-focused projects or programmes
7. Strong experience of working collaboratively across senior and cross-organisational boundaries
8. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills; able to influence and build partnerships
9. Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing priorities
