Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/carer to support my parens in running their home/mainitaining their independence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness and be warm and friendly. This role requires empathy for elderly people and a genuine desire to help them maintain their household whilst displaying proactivity, spotting what needs doing.
Responsibilities
* Visit my parents in their home once or twice a day - late morning & mid afternoon to perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy, including bathroom, kitchen and common areas.
* Check in with my mum to ensure she eats something at lunchtime and keep her company if she's feeling sociable.
* Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and garments as required.
* Assist with cooking of evening meal and lunch preparation when necessary, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Collaborate with other family members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a housekeeping/carer role is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
* Basic cooking skills are desirable to assist with meal preparation.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Previous experience of working with a dementia care would be useful.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
