As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will gain many new skills to help you develop throughout the apprenticeship. (All learning is delivered online/ remote). Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 8th best UK training provider) During your time as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will be based in a classroom environment and will help support the young learners within their lessons and will be involved in planning lessons. Your day-to-day duties will include: Work under the direction of the line manager, class teachers, and other staff to support the learning of whole classes, selected groups or individuals as instructed Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with academy policies and help keep pupils on task Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills Raise standards of achievement for all pupils Encourage pupils to become more independent learners Provide support for their emotional, social, and physical welfare Support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life Participating in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager To support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher Essential skills: Achieved GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & Maths Desired skills: Previous experience of working with children desirable Personal qualities: Enthusiastic, and have an interest in working with children A team player Reliable, committed, and punctual Professional, organised, and attention to detail Confidence in your own ability to want to learn and develop About the Employer Oasis is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
