The Indian accounting organization supports accounting, financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, transfer pricing activities, and new business launches.
We are seeking candidates at the finance manager level with 10+ years of professional experience in financial accounting, reporting, and internal control. The role involves supporting all aspects of our financial reporting process, understanding internal control design, and conducting technical accounting research and position paper writing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership, process improvement skills, and the ability to foster partnerships across finance, operations, and IT teams.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Accounting and analysis of specific business verticals or functions.
2. Preparation of monthly accruals for month-end close.
3. Driving process efficiencies and advising business teams on accounting matters.
4. Evaluating accounting positions for new projects and drafting technical position papers.
5. Collaborating with global accounting teams to develop process improvements and ensure global accounting standards consistency.
6. Coordinating with auditors for timely statutory and tax audits.
Key Requirements
* 8+ years of relevant experience in Big 4 audit firms, multinational corporations, or operational accounting.
* CA, CPA, or ICWAI qualification is mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams in India and the US.
* Knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards, with experience liaising with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance.
* Self-starter, collaborative team player, and effective communicator.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, risk assessment, and IT aptitude.
* Experience managing relationships with Big 4 auditors is advantageous.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.
* 5+ years in various finance and accounting roles.
* 6+ years in Accounts Receivable or Payable.
* Experience applying KPIs to analysis and building financial reports for decision-making.
* Proven ability to create process improvements with automation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
* 8+ years in data analysis, root cause identification, and escalation planning.
* 8+ years solving complex business challenges with financial models and analysis.
* MBA or CPA qualification.
* Knowledge of SQL/ETL and experience with large-scale data tools and financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards.
