Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide pre-travel and on hire guidance, advice and issue accurate and competitive quotations/or bookings for car and/or motor home rentals to domestic and international clients and to deliver exceptional on-brand service in a timely manner that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations, maximises revenue and encourage repeat custom.
Responsibilities
* Accurately and efficiently process customer requests and all other administrative tasks
* Provide on hire assistance to support customers as required including completing all required documentation and amending bookings where necessary
* Ensure that the customer/trade partner is always provided with high quality, accurate information and that their expectations are met or exceeded.
* Ensure that all transactions are completed 'right the first time' and minimise rework.
* Work 1 on 1 with the customer/trade partner to build a solution which best meets their individual travel requirements and if necessary consider reducing the price, in line with authority levels, to win business.
* Ensure all service delivery, turnarounds and/or targets are met or exceeded.
* Develop and maintain a strong relationship with internal and external customers (Wholesalers, ITO's and/or Trade partners) to encourage future business.
* Ensure presentation of all correspondence is consistent and of the highest standard
* Manage daily workload to agreed standards and seek assistance from the Booking Host Team Leader/Contact Centre manager when necessary
* Be a systems/product specialist by maintaining an excellent knowledge of the THL business offering, in-house and supplier reservations systems, New Zealand and Australian geography, partners, suppliers and operators.
* Demonstrate a pro-active approach and response to customer & business opportunities.
* Operate within policies and procedures for financial, as well as non-financial transactions, and contribute to system and process reviews when required.
* Pro-actively provide constructive and objective feedback.
* Demonstrate a high level of personal, team and customer behaviours.
* Actively participate in the thl Health and Safety system.
* All other duties as required.
Skills
* Proven sales experience
* Proven contact centre experience is desirable
* Previous sales/customer service experience of the tourism industry is highly desirable
* Tertiary qualification/s general or specifically Travel & Tourism is desirable
* Proven communication skills both verbally and written
* Proven experience managing multiple tasks at any one given time
* Proven negotiation skills
* Ability to assimilate information in a timely manner
* Is a lateral thinker and is able to provide tailored solutions
* Detail and accuracy oriented
* Works for the best interest of thl at all times
* Good knowledge of geography where thl operates
* Ability to achieve deadlines
