UKTV’s award‑winning Social & Online team is looking for a creative and data‑driven Social Video Editor to help shape the social presence of some of the UK’s most loved TV brands — including U, U&Dave, U&W, U&Alibi, U&Yesterday, U&Gold and U&Drama.
This is a brilliant opportunity to sit at the intersection of TV, social video and audience growth, creating standout content that reaches and engages millions of fans across platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting into the Senior Social Video Manager, you’ll:
* Edit and package high‑performing social video content for all major platforms, with a strong focus on YouTube
* Own BAU and campaign output across one or more YouTube channel brands
* Use platform insight, algorithms and performance data to drive views, watch time and revenue
* Craft compelling thumbnails, titles and formats that stop the scroll
* Collaborate with editors, social managers and creatives on digital‑first campaigns
* Experiment with new formats and apply learnings from performance to future content
A typical day might involve watching a UKTV Original, creating platform‑specific clips, reviewing YouTube analytics, fine‑tuning thumbnails — and contributing ideas that help launch the next big show.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has proven experience editing video for social platforms using Premiere Pro and Photoshop (After Effects a bonus)
* Has a strong understanding of YouTube best practice, channel management and creator tools
* Understands social algorithms, audience growth and performance optimisation
* Is confident working in a team and managing their own workload to tight deadlines
* Has a sharp editorial eye and attention to detail
* Brings a genuine passion for TV and digital storytelling
Experience with compliance, rights management, self‑shooting, or working with talent is a plus.
