Description This is an exciting opportunity to join the Protection and Insurance Product team. You’ll be part of a team of product experts working with our insurance partners and stakeholders across the business to maintain, run, and develop our propositions. We are looking for a data expert to help us harness the power of data to deliver insights and technical requirements that will help us transform our business and deepen our relationship with customers. Responsibilities What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for creating and executing our data integration strategy; identifying new data sources and ways to improve the availability of data to enhance our propositions and support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Acting as a conduit between the product team, our insurance partners, internal data experts and technical delivery teams you’ll agree outcomes and objectives, define solutions, shape requirements and deliver key initiatives using both agile and waterfall methodologies. You’ll also be expected to share your experience and knowledge as a data expert with senior management and colleagues to inform decision making and help develop our range of services. About you As a minimum for this role, you will have/be: Experience working in the UK Insurance Industry A track record in collaborating with data engineering and data architecture teams to design, develop, and maintain APIs that enable seamless integration between systems and products Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and requirements Experienced in analysing current (As-Is) processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and design future (To-Be) process models aligned with strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements Proficient in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies, ensuring adaptability to project requirements A history of facilitating workshops, gathering requirements and translating stakeholder needs into actionable specifications. Able to build trust and maintain productive relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as presenting technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to senior leadership and external partners Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
