Overview
We are seeking an experienced Camunda DevOps Lead with strong expertise in the banking domain to oversee the planning, execution and successful delivery of projects.
Hybrid Working
The work location will vary according to business needs, with a blend of company offices, client sites and home. Working from home 100% of the time is not possible.
Your Role
As the Camunda DevOps Lead you will shape the Camunda technology vision, roadmap and operating model to enable data‑driven, omnichannel customer engagement. This role partners with Marketing, Data, Product and Technology teams to define use cases, evaluate platforms, architect integrations and ensure marketing capabilities deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, testing and deployments across multiple environments.
* Own the end‑to‑end DevOps lifecycle from environment provisioning to production release governance.
* Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform, Helm and GitOps workflows.
* Establish DevOps standards, patterns and reusable frameworks to ensure consistency, security and reliability across engineering teams.
* Build and maintain scalable cloud‑ready platform infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture.
* Create self‑service automation tooling that empowers developers to deploy applications independently with minimal operational overhead.
* Implement automation around monitoring, scaling, configuration and system maintenance to reduce operational toil.
* Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging and alerting frameworks to ensure high platform availability and rapid incident response.
* Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and proactive issue resolution for mission‑critical systems.
* Establish operational runbooks, readiness check‑lists and best practices for platform reliability.
* Embed security best practices into pipelines, infrastructure and operations through automated checks and compliance controls.
* Ensure platform and deployments meet enterprise standards, audit requirements and regulatory expectations.
* Work closely with architects, product owners, cloud teams and engineering squads to align DevOps capabilities with business and technical goals.
* Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to DevOps engineers and development teams.
* Deploy, support and automate Camunda platform operations using DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines for Camunda workflows, platform monitoring, performance tuning and end‑to‑end automation of Camunda‑based process applications.
Qualifications
• Proven experience leading DevOps for enterprise‑scale applications, preferably in the banking sector.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, GitOps workflows and cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining Camunda platform, with a track record of automation and performance optimisation.
• Deep knowledge of observability, monitoring and incident management best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to drive security, compliance and IaC adoption across teams.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
