Job Details:
Pay: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm
Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Metrology Engineer , you will be responsible for developing and implementing measurement processes and procedures to ensure dimensional accuracy and equipment calibration standards are maintained. The Metrology Engineer will conduct inspections using Leica Laser Trackers, scanners, T-Probes and B-Probes, perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies, and generate detailed reports using SpatialAnalyzer (SA) software. This Metrology Engineer role will involve collaborating with engineering teams to resolve dimensional control issues and supporting projects throughout the UK and internationally.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Strong knowledge of metrology principles, techniques and equipment
Extensive experience using SpatialAnalyzer (SA) software
Experience operating Leica Laser Trackers including 400 and 900 series equipment
Experience using scanners, T-Probes and B-Probes
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Additional Information
Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies to assess measurement system capability and reliability
Conduct inspections and measurements using Leica Laser Trackers and associated equipment
Generate measurement reports using Spatial Analyzer software
Maintain calibration records and quality documentation
Support corrective action activities and continuous improvement initiatives
UK and international travel required as part of the role
Company vehicle provided with accommodation and expenses covered when working away
