We’re innovative, not afraid to try something new and are always looking for ways to maximise resources and evolve the way we deliver services for the future to make a difference to the local community. You will develop schemes that address the needs of the Borough and ensure these are delivered effectively and in a cost-efficient and timely manner.
In practice, you will:
* Lead on the appraisal, design and delivery of traffic-management and road-safety schemes across the borough to address known issues.
* Manage budgets, resources and forward planning.
* Supervise a team of officers handling Road Safety, Community Participation and Ward Transport initiatives.
* Develop and maintain productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Produce TROs and lead on public consultations in relation to traffic schemes.
This role presents a unique opportunity to apply your highways expertise in a creative and impactful way. You’ll be encouraged to think innovatively and develop forward-thinking solutions to complex traffic challenges.
