Deputy Autism Co-ordinator Full Time September Start
Are you a passionate and experienced educator with a strong understanding of Autism and a commitment to inclusive education? GSL Education is proud to present a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Deputy Autism Co-ordinator to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Fareham from September 2025.
This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of neurodiverse students. The successful candidate will support the Autism Lead in delivering outstanding provision for students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ensuring their needs are met both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the day-to-day management of the school s Autism Resource Base
* Work closely with the Autism Co-ordinator to design and deliver tailored interventions
* Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom practice
* Deliver targeted support and coaching to staff to improve outcomes for autistic pupils
* Develop strong partnerships with parents, external professionals, and agencies
* Contribute to the school s SEND development strategy and training
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a relevant qualification and experience supporting students with ASC
* Demonstrates a deep understanding of neurodiverse learning needs
* Has experience in a leadership or co-ordination role within a school setting
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
* A positive, compassionate and proactive approach to supporting students
