Field Service Technician
Contract: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Overview
Brooksource is hiring a Distribution Field Technician to support our Power Distribution Engineering team. This role involves field inspections, data collection, work order preparation, and storm damage assessments for overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electrical distribution systems.
Responsibilities
* Inspect overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities.
* Collect and document field data.
* Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports.
* Assist with storm damage assessments in and out of state.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
* High school diploma required.
* Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering .
* Entry-level candidates welcome.
Technical Skills:
* Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge .
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., GIS, CAD, or similar tools) is a plus.
* Experience with AutoCAD, GIS mapping software, or electrical design tools .
Other Requirements:
* Valid driver’s license.
* Ability to travel overnight as needed
