Bookkeeper (SME Accounts)

Were working with a growing professional services firm in the Midlands that supports a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, theyre looking to hire a Junior Bookkeeper to support their client delivery team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 2 years hands-on bookkeeping experience (from either accountancy practice or an in-house/industry role) who is keen to develop their skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
The role will include:
* Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients
* Processing sales and purchase invoices, expenses, and bank reconciliations
* Supporting with VAT returns and basic management accounts
* Assisting with month-end and year-end preparation
* Working with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Liaising with clients and internal colleagues as required
Were looking for:
1. 2+ years bookkeeping experience (practice or industry)
2. Confidence using at least one cloud accounting system (Xero preferred)
3. Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
4. Comfortable working in an office environment 4 days per week
