As our Dispatch and Yard Supervisor, you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of manufactured products to customers across the Central North Island region, scheduling deliveries and co-ordinating the business units and contractor trucks to provide a cost effective and on-time service to our customers.
This role is a mixture of office-based to reschedule deliveries but is also hands-on managing staff in the yard. The ideal candidate might also have Class 4/5 Licence to help support with deliveries when required.
As the Dispatch and Yard Supervisor you will:
1. Scheduling deliveries, ensuring loads are stacked and loaded quickly, efficiently and safely
2. Maintain the daily operations in the yard, delegating tasks to staff and ensuring the yard is kept in good shape
3. Proactively maintain professional standards of vehicles, including all legislative requirements with NZTA
4. Manage the unloading of incoming deliveries, yard storage, stock rotation and delivery to manufacturing teams
5. Lead and develop the yard team, by inspiring, supporting and motivating to encourage growth and success
6. Uphold best practice standards by leading from the front and ensuring all H&S standards are met and adhered to
About you:
7. Committed to delivering exceptional customer service
8. Proven team leadership experience (ideally in a similar role)
9. Class 4/5 Licence is desirable
10. Forklift F Endorsement with OSH Certificate
11. Physically Fit
12. Experience in logistics and transportation fleet management
13. Capable with navigating computer systems and technology
14. Building knowledge is beneficial
