Overview
King Edward VI School is seeking to employ an outstanding, enthusiastic, and committed athletic development lead coach to start as soon as possible. This is a superb opportunity to lead a whole school programme in a school with one of the strongest sports programmes in the South of England, which is ambitious for the continued success of the whole sports programme. The right candidate would have the opportunity to work with elite performers and teams who regularly compete at regional, and national level.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead on all matters relating to athletic development, strength, conditioning, and fitness for elite performers and sports teams. They will also instil a whole school culture of athletic development, functional movement and active lifestyle to inspire pupils of all abilities.
Facilities
The school's commitment to this element of the sporting provision is evident from the recent completion of a fantastic new gym facility with four lifting stations, a 24-station aerobic room, a fixed weight room and large open space for a variety of floor work. This facility is one of the best in the independent school sector in the country.
