Please note this is a part-time position working 28 hours per week with a pro-rata salary of £17,665 to £18,561 per annum. The salary includes a basic salary and a guaranteed 10% allowance, paid alongside the basic salary.

The Opportunity
ECC Adult Social Care is shifting towards a model based on prevention, early intervention, enablement, and safeguarding, to enable people and their families to live independently. This role offers an opportunity to respond proactively to increasing service demands within financial constraints.
About You
You will work as part of a rota to meet the needs of the home. You should have experience in care or a passion to learn, and be able to work in a person-centred, flexible, and reliable manner. Full training and paid induction are provided.
This role involves working collaboratively with adults, their families, and other professionals in a residential or short break environment, ensuring high-quality service provision.
Accountabilities
* Support individuals to achieve independence and control in their lives, following care plans.
* Assist individuals/groups to access social and leisure activities.
* Monitor emotional and general wellbeing daily; report concerns to senior managers.
* Support individuals to make choices respecting their dignity and privacy.
* Maintain respectful and courteous interactions with adults, families, visitors, and colleagues.
* Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, with a willingness to achieve this within 24 months.
* Experience in social care and working within a team.
* Good communication skills and ability to engage with diverse groups.
* Experience or interest in working with adults with disabilities.
* Awareness of person-centered approaches, dignity, and privacy.
* Knowledge of legislation related to Vulnerable Adults and Mental Capacity.
* Willingness to undertake necessary training such as Manual Handling, First Aid, Food Hygiene, etc.
