EDM/Spark Erosion Technician (Weekday Night Shift)

Salary: A GBP 41,366 per annum inclusive of shift allowance
Hours: 21:15:07:00 : Monday : Thursday
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled EDM/Spark Erosion Technician to support the manufacture of high:quality transmission components for motorsport and aerospace applications. This role involves working in a small, dedicated team, applying a right:first:time approach to precision engineering.
As an EDM/Spark Erosion Technician, you will perform Wire EDM and Spark Erosion operations using Swiss:built EDM Charmilles equipment, including the Charmilles Form 200 Sparker, ensuring components meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Wire EDM/Spark Erosion operations on precision components.
* Interpret technical drawings and planning route cards to produce parts to specification.
* Manufacture aerospace and motorsport components in line with approved data.
* Program EDM machines offline using RoboCam or similar (training can be provided).
* Ensure all work is delivered on time, to quality, and to required tolerances .
* Contribute to problem solving, continuous improvement, and best practice across the workshop.
* Support other manufacturing areas when required.
* Work additional hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
Key Competencies and Experience
* Proven experience with Wire EDM and Spark Erosion processes.
* Skilled in operating numerically controlled EDM machines .
* Competency in offline programming ( RoboCam or similar software).
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications .
* Proactive, innovative, and team:oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Flexibility to adapt and support broader manufacturing activities.
