Job Overview
Full‑time post, Locum Consultant Histopathologist (Fixed Term 2 years) at Colchester Hospital and Ipswich Hospital.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed CCT or equivalent (Portfolio Pathway) or be working towards their Specialist Register. Part‑time personal circumstances may be considered, and if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Participate in the departmental rota for routine surgical pathology reporting and dissection.
* Attend MDTs according to rostering and clinical need.
* Lead cell pathology in at least one MDT, in line with the post holder's interests and departmental needs.
* Refer specialist cases to appropriate referral centres.
Additional Information
Successful candidates will be automatically a member of the Medical Staff Committee.
