Job Description

To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit a Fundraising Assistant to join our dynamic fundraising team in Midlands and be part of shaping the future of fundraising across the nation.
If you enjoy the challenge of multi-tasking, supporting others in their goals; working in a multi-faceted environment, thinking on your feet, and bringing creativity to a role, then this may be the job for you. Reporting to the Senior Community Fundraiser and working closely with some of the most talented fundraising people in the charity sector, your role will be to provide fundraising and administrative support to the team.
What You Will Be Doing
* Be the primary contact for supporters, patients, and families and offer excellent service to supporters through various communication channels.
* Develop strong internal relationships to enhance fundraising efforts and support Marie Curie activities. Help identify and engage new supporters.
* Record, bank, and process supporter income in line with Marie Curie policies. Maintain accurate financial and supporter records.
* Provide stewardship for Fundraising My Way participants, local fundraising groups, volunteers, and third-party eventers.
* Manage collection site bookings and permits, contact volunteers, dispatch materials, and ensure proper follow-up and record-keeping for collections.
Qualifications
* Good verbal and written communication skills demonstrating a sensitive approach
* Good team working ethos, as well as the initiative to manage your own work plan
* The ability to spot potential and build relationships with supporters and families for fundraising activities.
* Strong IT skills, including Word processing, email and spread sheets and a working knowledge of databases
* An awareness of end-of-life care and supporting everyone through all aspects of death, dying and bereavement
* A driving licence and access to a car is desired, but not essential

Salary: MCJES Grade C £20,821 - £22,088 (pro-rata)
