Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for dedicated and caring SEN Support Assistants to work across primary schools, providing tailored support to pupils who need extra help to thrive.

SEN Support Assistant

Location: Burnley
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:

* Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who have additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional challenges.
* Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt resources to meet pupils’ needs.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and progress for every child.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar setting).
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
