Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth and strengthen market presence across the North of England. The successful individual will promote a range of vacuum automation technologies, develop and manage customer relationships, and provide technical expertise to support client applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet growth targets within the region.
* Identify and generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship-building.
* Provide technical consultation and product guidance to customers, ensuring correct application and optimal performance.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams—including engineering and customer service—to deliver complete customer solutions.
* Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities through CRM systems.
* Represent the business at trade shows, industry events, and product demonstrations to support brand presence.
Candidate Profile
* Education: Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience: 0–10 years in technical sales, applications engineering, or business development within industrial automation or a related field.
* Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems; knowledge of vacuum technology is beneficial but not essential.
* Attributes: Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and a results‑driven approach.
* Location: Based within 100 miles of Reading, with flexibility to travel across the South of England.
