We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Duty and Assessment Team in the Oldham, Greater Manchester area. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection. The duty cycle is one in 3 and one in 4 rotation. On Duty week social workers are required to be in the office all week.

Responsibilities:
9. Responding to new referrals from professionals and members of the public
10. Signposting people to other agencies or completing an assessment of need, investigating allegations so that children/young people are protected from harm
11. Managing a varied and complex caseload
12. Writing concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements
13. Working well within a team and with external agencies
To be considered for the Social Worker ideally you will have:
14. Experience of working in a 'Children's Duty and Assessment' team (desirable)
15. SWE registration
16. BSc Social Work or equivalent
17. The ability to work as part of a team.
