About the Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll support your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of the store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to exceed targets through KPI delivery.
- Deliver exceptional market‑leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Provide a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
- Sell the story, not the discount – share passion for product with customers through in‑depth knowledge of our range.
- Take ownership of wine knowledge, continually learning about our products to support WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
- Maintain pride and accountability for the store’s physical appearance, both internally and externally.
- Participate in all operational tasks required for day‑day running, including wine delivery, merchandising stock deliveries and calling valued customers to drive sales opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and share ideas with the wider team.
- Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
- Act as an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working, providing support for junior team members and feeding feedback to the Store Manager.
- As a key holder, understand opening and closing compliance and confidently operate the store without management presence.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Excellent time‑management, delegation and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every single customer.
- Self‑motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
- A can‑do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
- Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever‑changing demands of our business.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn and achieve a level 2 WSET qualification is essential.
- Hold a full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Driving is a key part of the position; must be comfortable driving one of our company vans.
