Finance Manager Location: Norwich Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience) An established and growing organisation based in Norwich is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function across multiple trading entities. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering responsibility for financial reporting, team management, cashflow, and statutory compliance, while working closely with senior leadership to support business objectives. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day finance operations, oversee a small transactional team, and ensure accurate and timely financial information is delivered to support decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities Managing and mentoring the transactional finance team (credit control, accounts payable and assistant accountant) Preparing monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis Supporting budgeting and reforecasting processes Maintaining the general ledger and fixed asset registers Ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions Overseeing cashflow forecasting and banking activities Managing invoice finance reporting and reconciliations Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other statutory filings Leading the annual audit process Processing monthly payroll across multiple entities Providing financial insight and analysis to non-financial stakeholders Supporting process improvement and system enhancements Skills & Experience Essential: Proven experience managing a finance function with minimal supervision Strong leadership and people management skills Advanced Excel skills and confidence using finance systems Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain finance to non-finance colleagues Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Desirable: ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (QBE also considered) Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools Experience with invoice finance facilities Payroll experience To apply, please submit your CV or you can contact James Steel for a confidential discussion on or email
