VSMs are responsible for managing the Visa Europe Region and supporting the global team in achieving the group's mission. They must respond to and escalate all security and safety incidents across facilities in line with organizational policies.
The role requires extensive experience in relationship, project, and vendor management, along with a solid technical understanding of security systems. VSMs will support planned works throughout the lifecycle of various security systems, with assistance from the Physical Security Technology Team (PSTT).
VSMs will develop, review, and implement procedures and protocols, taking corrective actions when necessary to ensure security staff are well-informed of their duties. They will exercise judgment and initiative to guide managers, supervisors, and team members effectively.
Travel to sites within the Visa Europe Region and potentially globally may be required to support security reviews, events, or projects.
This is a hybrid position; in-office days will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
* Seven (7) years of applicable work experience with a bachelor's degree, or five (5) years with an Advanced Degree, or two (2) years with a PhD.
* Eight (8)+ years in a Corporate Security role or equivalent law enforcement/military experience.
* Five (5)+ years of country jurisdiction experience.
* Six (6)+ years in relevant domains.
* Eight (8)+ years managing direct reports.
* Four (4) years in risk management/assessment methodologies.
* Proficient in customer relations and leadership, managing diverse stakeholders including executives and senior management.
* Strong communication skills for developing and presenting complex solutions.
* Executive presence and credibility with global leadership.
* Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of project and vendor management principles.
* Knowledge of Plan / Design / Bid / Implement methodologies.
* Ability to work independently in a multi-location environment.
* Attention to detail, leadership presence, team orientation, and analytical skills.
* Relevant certifications, memberships, or associations are desirable.
