Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Emsworth
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
A specialist SEN school in Emsworth is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
2. Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
3. Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development
4. Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
5. Contribute to the creation of a safe and engaging classroom environment
6. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements
7. Experience working with children with SEN ( ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Patience, empathy, and resilience
10. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
11. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
