About The Role:
Job Title: Supply Planner – Fresh and Bakery (FTC)
Reports to: Senior Merchandiser- Hampers, Fresh and Bakery
Direct Reports Assistant Merchandiser, Merchandising Assistant
Other key relationships:Buying, Retail, Logistics, Online, 3PL Warehouse, Suppliers, Branch Merchandising, Wholesale
Location:Piccadilly
* Manage all aspects of Inventory Management and supply chain activity to ensure excellent availability within the stock holding constraints for the Fresh department.
* Maximise availability and provide statistical analysis to determine the optimum buy to achieve YOY growth and full sales potential.
* Ensures all KPIs are met.
* Management of Critical Path.
* Monitoring and reporting on Supplier Compliance and working with our Suppliers, supported by the Buying team to ensure excellent OTIF is achieved.
What You'll Do:
* Daily use of Relex forecasting tool to ensure smooth flow of stock into store(s) and maintaining web availability KPI.
* Production of statistical analysis of previous sales, brands, price points (etc.) to propose generic range architecture of future ranges
* Significant input into the range sign off process
* Check if the products proposed are commercially viable to range
* MOQ and Minimum Order Value to be checked if commercially viable
* Intake plans to be created from the signed off sales forecasts
* Monitoring of WSSI to ensure stock targets can be met, flexing in-take as needed but ensuring KPIs are upper most priority.
* Expediting Orders
* Develop relationships with Suppliers / Depot / Shop Floor / Online team
* Complete understanding of Grade A and B lines (in terms of stock, orders, issues, pricing, promos etc)
* Regular checking of Grade C and D lines
* Compile and communicate proposed sale lines
* Monitor and suggest appropriate action during sale
* Drive OTIF (On time and in full deliveries)
* Communication of failed deliveries and actions proposed
* Ensure unwanted orders and inventory are cancelled with full communicated to suppliers and buyers
* Monitor Allocation parameters set on the system
* Maintain availability within defined parameters – highlight future potential issues. Resolve before they become issues
* Maintain and report against KPIs (e.g. stock holding, weeks cover, availability, sales forecast accuracy)
* Stock queries from DC resolved within 48 hours
* Prepare data for regular reviews with buying, shop floor and VM
Key Challenges that the job holder needs to be able to address:
* Assisting with on-going adoption of Relex forecasting tool.
* Failed deliveries
* Exceeding the OTB
* Poor availability
* Excessive proposed ranges
* Product and suppliers that are not commercially viable to the F&M business model
* Inaccurate sales forecasts
* Managing Buyers expectations
* Highlighting and proposing actions for non / slow selling lines
* Maintaining all KPIs
* Prioritising work loads
What Does Success Looks Like In This Role?
* Excellent knowledge of Grade A and B products
* Good relationships with respective buying team
* Good relationships with Key Stake Holders
* Achieving all KPIs
* Good statistical analysis conducted across all SKUs / departments responsible for
* Clear processes and procedures, understood by stake holders.
* Working with the Buying team to deliver a comprehensive range suitable for all channels.
What We Are Looking For:
* Candidates should currently be Supply Planners/or can demonstrate good experience in this field as a Merchandiser.
* They should possess strong analytical skills, highly organised, good communication skills at varying levels, able to multi-task, prioritise accordingly with leadership and coaching as required Experience of working within the ambient Food industry is very desirable
