The role
We are working with a large, inclusive secondary school with an attached sixth form to recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or pastoral support.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff, the SEND team, and pastoral leads to support students across KS3–KS5, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.

Key responsibilities
6. Provide 1:1 and small-group academic support
7. Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs
8. Assist teachers in maintaining engagement and progress
9. Support confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
10. Gain hands-on experience within a secondary school environment
The ideal candidate
11. Degree in any subject (psychology, education, sociology, sport, or humanities advantageous)
12. Strong interest in working with young people
13. Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
14. Confident communicator and relationship builder
15. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
