We'd like you to join us as a Maintenance Officer at our service Woodlands in York.

Woodlands provides specialist Level 2 Neurological Rehabilitation and Neurobehavioural services for adults in York. We're committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individual who will be responsible in the upkeep of the centre and its grounds. Working alongside our current maintenance & garden assistant you will provide a professional reactive inhouse maintenance service which will include frequent PPM checks, minor repairs, decoration and to support the manager with the escalation of works for external contractors. Attending to the upkeep of the grounds, you will manage the lawns, flower beds and hedge cutting.

In all duties, you will always apply fanatical attention to detail and put patients and their families at the forefront.

What you'll be working:

Salary: FTE: £30,073.48

37.5hrs - Full time

Location: York

What you'll be doing:

* To provide maintenance and upkeep of the building including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures, fittings, furniture and medical equipment.
* Equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.
* Responsible for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks, to include fire, legionella and centre equipment.
* Maintenance of all roads and pathways including cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations.
* The recording of all data in accordance with policy and procedure.
* Maintenance of all grounds, lawns, flower beds, hedges and other horticulture activities such as planting, pruning, seeding.
* The cleaning and general maintenance of the site vehicle and ensuring that regular safety checks are completed.
* Occasional transportation of patients using site vehicle to appointments.
* Monitoring and handling of all waste and ensuring compliance with waste regulations.
* Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.
* Take personal responsibility for ensuring that ACG Group resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage.
* Maintain their own training compliance with and ensure they are up to date with regulatory standards.
* Maintain safe working environments at all times, completing audits and the wearing of PPE
* Adherence to all Group policies and procedures and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies.

What you'll have:

* At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred but not required
* Experience of working to tight deadlines
* A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
* A genuine interest in horticulture and gardening
* Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record. (preferred)
