Playing a key role in leading on delivery projects for Adult Social Care (ASC).
You'll be part of a busy, friendly, and supportive team responsible for change delivery for adults across social care and education, working closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. As part of the work, you will lead on selected projects that enable ASC to deliver its vital services in ways that ensure choice and control for people, value for money and high-quality care and support.
We work in partnership with care providers, care staff, the NHS and both the people who draw on care and support and their carers.
Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, Senior Project Manager, Senior Business Analyst and other officers, you'll support the team in delivering a range of key projects as per the needs of the department.
Although you will be predominantly working from home, you'll also need the flexibility to work from our office base at Halford House as required. We will consider this vacancy on a secondment basis for Leicester City Council employees. What you'll be doing
As a member of the projects team, you'll undertake several projects that support service redesign and change and provide ongoing support and direction to the project group. You'll work with Business Change Commissioning Managers, multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, voluntary sector, and with those who draw on adult social care services to deliver complex projects in time and to budget. Working at a strategic level, you'll write and present reports to senior leaders, chair key meetings, and articulate opportunities for changes within services, negotiating when necessary. You'll provide crucial support to the Senior Project Manager and Business Change Portfolio Manager on key project work and help to shape forward planning.
What you'll need
An excellent Project Manager you'll have a proven track record as a Project Manager, delivering complex projects at a senior level. You'll have experience of performance management as well as budget and financial management. With strong communication skills, you'll be able to build effective relationships with all key stakeholders and confidently present to senior leaders. You'll be highly organised, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet objectives and deadlines. Self-motivated, with a flexible approach and commitment to successfully delivering projects, you'll create a professional and positive working environment.
