Key Responsibilities
* Assist in legal due diligence for land parcels by gathering, examining, and validating title and revenue-related documents.
* Analyze crucial legal records including title deeds, sale agreements, encumbrance certificates, Khata extracts, and mutation entries.
* Coordinate with external parties such as surveyors, notaries, and local government offices (e.g., sub-registrar, Mamlatdar) to obtain and verify legal documents.
* Identify potential legal issues or discrepancies related to land ownership, such as ongoing disputes, encumbrances, or litigations.
* Maintain structured due diligence checklists and organize all related documents within digital data rooms for each transaction.
* Prepare and review initial legal summaries and notes under the supervision of senior legal counsel.
* Communicate with external legal advisors to secure legal opinions and conduct confirmatory title searches.
* Ensure accurate documentation and maintain records in accordance with internal compliance protocols and relevant state laws.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Proficiency in MS Word
* Strong command of English (both spoken and written)
