What you’ll be doing?
1. Develop and maintain databases and data systems for data analytics and performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
2. Working in a team to support data requirements for a critical business project
3. Use data visualisation tools to tell the story behind the data.
4. Using statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in sophisticated data sets and predict outcomes base on changes in behaviours.
5. Provide subject-matter expertise to the Central Data Office around data tools including but not limited to PowerBI, Snowflake, Erwin Data Intelligence and other data tools.
6. Collaborate with internal team-leads and analysts to test, clean, and standardized structured and unstructured data to meet the business requirements.
7. Working within the CDO governance framework and with the data owners and stewards to ensure there is appropriate oversite and accountability around data.
Who we are looking for?
8. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Actuarial science, Computer Science, Mathematics or STEM.
9. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
11. An organised and logical problem solver, with experience working in a data governance environment and familiar with data dictionaries and data quality concepts.
12. Experience with statistical analysis and data manipulation using tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
13. Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
14. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
